Riley had his first bath this weekend. He wasn't thrilled with it, but he didn't do too bad. I didn't get scratched anyways! Here's a couple pictures of him doing his drowned rat imitation afterwords.

Wow Riley is such a beauty. So long and such a long tail! I love how even though he is still black he's kinda lighter underneath. I love that kittens get long and then fill out, looks like Riley is gonna be a big kitty!

Oh I LOVE the pictures of Riley's belly! He is such a beautiful boy. Majik has a great tummy too, and loves to have it rubbed. He wiggles his whole body it makes him so happy. I call it "Mr. Big Wiggles" lol.

And, as a bonus, here is my foster girl Akasha. She is 3 years old and up for adoption. We've had her for about a month and a half. She was VERY scared at first and spent an entire week under the bed. Now she comes to meet me when I get home and loves to be petted, but she's still very skittish and runs and hides at any sudden noise or movement. Also, she doesn't like Riley, so I'm not considering her for a permanent addition. She will make someone a sweet kitty though

I love Riley! The tounge picture is priceless ! He is such a ham. Please keep us updated on Akasha and her adoption. You're an absolute angel for rescuing and placing her. She will definately end up being someones soul mate!

Hi, Paula (Alleys Mom): I read what you wrote in my topic in the Loss section and I had to come here and look at the pictures of Riley. Many of them look just like my Little Guy...long body, long tail, golden eyes. They are so beautiful. I'm so glad you found him. Mine had a twin brother and when they were 6 weeks old I thought of them as my little teddy bears. His brother left us at the age of 10. It was something only a week old. I named him Housekeeper because as a kitten he would check all the litter boxes and if someone did not cover up, he would do it. Then I shortened it to Keeper when I talked to him. Both of them loved belly rubs. I see why you fell in love with him. How wonderful for another start. I also see why you adored Alley...I do just from her picture. and yes, I also love black longhaired kitties. Riley's pictures are just precious especially that first one you took to show in here on your first topic. I'm thinking of volunteering for a nokill shelter here but I may fall for one and my husband is not ready at this time. I think it would help me get over my stomach in knots problems but we have to both be ready. I hope next time he will listen when I say to pick them up and hold them. He never understood why they wanted my lap and not his. But they ran to him for combing, cause that's what he felt comfortable doing. It is harder to train a person than an animal. Keeper was his cat but left us too soon and so he looked to our other one and the response was not what he wanted. That's why I think he is not ready. He said I would have to feed them, clean the litter box, things he has been doing for a few years. He forgets that the 1st 3 years I did it all myself cause he was not interested. That cemented a bond with my kittens they never forgot.
