Simba's Daddy
It's hard to believe that it has already been a year today since helping my "Simba I" go to the bridge. It seems like only yesterday when I was putting him in his cat carrier to take him to the vet and knowing I would be coming back home without my best friend and broken hearted.

Still thinking about you everyday Simba, and will never stop.

Here are some pictures I found on an old computer.

Dear Simba's daddy, I just re read your story and of course the tears are falling freely.
I love all cats, love them passionately but the oranges ones are the ones who make me melt. When I was about 5 or 6 years old, the first cat that I got to pick out of a litter of multicolored cats was an orange one and so was the love of my life, they may well have been one and the same, who knows! Take care and hugs to you after this hard one year anniversary. Hope Simba II was particularly loving to you on that day.

Dear Simba's Daddy:

I think that the first 'anniversary' is the hardest sad.gif ....... Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I absolutely love seeing Simba I wub.gif photos -- Orange kitties hold a very special place in my heart, too. When I was in my very early teens, we had a "Sandy I" & then "Sandra II" . Both very beautiful & special "orange boys", just like your precious Simba I & II wub.gif .

......BTW......I don't see any "Big Fat ball of fur"... tongue.gif -- that's all muscle, don't you know?! wub.gif

And, the "Turn off those bright lights!" photo is just adorable.... I think all of our furkids have that ability to "turn on the cuteness... rolleyes.gif "... That's my favorite "kitty pose".

Sending you & Simba II much peace & love....

Denise

p.s. ...... I'm a bit of a procrastinator ohmy.gif .... Please tell Simba II wub.gif I've got to use a tiny phillips to take out the batteries before I ship out his present.... It IS going out tomorrow (Monday), you have my word smile.gif .

All the anniversaries are tough ones but the first is the worst, I think. He was such and handsome guy and I know he stole your heart from the very beginning. You know, he lives there still. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers this evening.

PS: Give ol' Simba ll a kitty treat and a big hug from me.
Taco's Mummy
Hi Simba's Daddy,

It's been a year since my Taco first was ill. I know, it does feel like yesterday. Anyway, it's been a great comfort coming here and your posts have been very helpful to me. Thank you. It's really nice that you cared so much about Simba. He was a beautiful cat and he was lucky to have such a caring daddy. Thanks for the photos. It always warms my heart to see a smiling, happy kitty.

Didn't you adopt another cat this year? He is a beauty too. I would love to see his photos sometime.

Hi Sandy,

Yes, I adopted "Simba II" just two days after. Tommorrow is the one year anniversary of finding my new buddy so I'll make another post and post some new pictures of him.

Here is my original thread about how I met "Simba II"

Thank you for sharing the pictures of your beautiful boy with us. I still have a few months to go before reaching that big "anniversary" but I can only imagine how hard it has been for you.

I'm glad you have Simba II there to keep you company and I'm sure that Simba is watching over you both with love.
