This may seem like a strange question but I'm hopeful someone can answer it!

Exactly how famous is Amelia Kinkade? Do you all know of her, is she like a famous household name over in your country?

I have googled her and found out she is an actress as well as an animal communicator and niece of Rue Mc Clanahan, (I had never heard of her either!) but does the average person know of her or do you have to have an interest in animal communication to have heard of her?

Sorry for all the questions but I really need to find out quick, sorry can't say anymore than that at the moment!

I have never heard of her, but then my bf tells me that I am the most out of touch person he's ever met, lol.

Hey E.M. great to see you back!. Thanks John B for this link. I checked it out and it sounds good. I have to confess that I still have too many reservations about animal communicators to be ready to spend the precious little money I have on them. I am hoping that maybe this will further a dialogue about animal communicators, I know there are some here who have had pretty credible experiences with them and knowing who they are, not one of them seems gullible or uneducated, on the contrary! I have been tempted to use communicators but I cant get over this stubborn thought that if any one can access my cat's spirit, it would be me not someone who has never even met my cat....but I'm open and actually desperately in need of believing, because somehow my grief has taken me nowhere lately, worse yet, I feel completely separated from my Yukon, sort of lost and alone, without hope. My tears of grief are making way to quiet tears of despair.

Here is some clarity on how animal communication works, you are right in saying that if anyone can reach your cat's spirit you would have thought it would be you, and not someone who has never met your cat.

You are indeed able to reach Yukon just as easily as anyone else. Everyone has the ability to communicate, we are all born with the intuitive skills just that along the way these skills get suppressed through things like society, upbringing and logic - the part of the brain that develops as we get older, which explains why children have a natural ability over adults as their logical side of the brain hasn't fully matured. Our brains develop to keep us in check as we get older to stop us doing stupid things and looking an idiot in front of people. This is why some people have to go back to basics in order to find this side in us again, some people have managed to stay in tune with their intuitive side and therefor are able to communicate with animals or spirits quite easily.

You don't need to spend money on courses to be shown how to communicate, a great starting point would be to buy Marta William's book 'Learning their Language', if you can meditate although not essential you will be able to communicate with Yukon. The book helps to explain the basics. issues of the inner critic and also has practice sections, great for the beginner.

Your att*itude is right, if they can do it why can't I, and that was exactly what I thought. I have just recently been on a course so I will tell you this little story of something that happened to me that just literally blew my mind away in hope that this may give you some inspiration for you to start trying to communicate with Yukon.

Firstly when we communicate there are different ways in which to communicate and receive, sometimes they can come in the form of words which you will hear, (they come through a different side of the brain, but they will still sound like your voice, but the important thing is you may be given things that you don't actually know about so you will able to verify that you are not making things up!). Another way is through feelings which could be an emotion or a physical feeling. The third way is seeing whereby you will receive an image and finally smelling or tasting.

Anyway, after the weekend course had finished I had been out for tea and came back to the B&B had a shower, packed my bags and then just before I went to bed I did my usual 'talk/tune-in' with Denis' photo. I can't remember what I said probably just general ramblings and then finished with saying goodnight to him. After I said that I received from Denis a physical feeling together with actually seeing it too, it came from out of the blue and really caught me by surprise as I was not consciously thinking about anything let alone this.

We used to do Eskimo kisses, I so much miss them and knowing I would never ever receive another one of his beautiful kisses has been tough but right after I said goodnight I just got this kiss right on the end of my nose, from his nose, it was a clear as day, the feeling, the sensation could not and can not be created or invented by my own consciousness. It, as I said just blew me away, it was just so real and totally unexpected.

This was such a major break through for me to receive communication in this form as normally I will hear words or see. So if I can do it so can you, so can everyone here, it just takes a bit of practice and a bit of trust in yourself. And yes, I do still have a bit of scepticism too, it is only natural as we all have that logic in us that says this can't be real, this can't be true.

You have got nothing to loose in trying and trusting for yourself in the ability of being able to communicate and you may well be very suprised with what you receive.

Just to let you know why I was asking about Amelia Kinkade, I did go on her course, but for two reason, one to learn communication and the second was because of a chance encounter.

I had been using the services of another Animal Communicator who had worked with Denis and had been working with Lucy. One day I received an email from her - it said Amelia Kinkade was looking for stories about animals and the afterlife when she thought of me and my experiences with Denis. She wanted a 20 page story - from beginning to end charting the account of how we first came together till the end and then details of how our animals have continued to communicate with us after they have passed.

Not being a writer I tentatively took up the challenge and told Denis' story from start to finish which was a completely harrowing experience to have to relive it and get it all down on paper and then sent it to her.

She said it was the best story she had ever read and better than any professional writer had ever written and is delighted to have it included in her new book!

So strange things happen in this mad world!

E.M. I agree with a lot of things that you say. It is true that we must believe a bit to access to this other world otherwise we shut it out. I remember about 2 months ago, I was getting my morning coffee and looked as I do dozens of times each day out of the kitchen window where Yukon and Felix are buried. You know what I saw?: a big, healthy orange cat just sitting right on their grave, it could have been Yukon. I was crying at that sight and called my husband to see it. But why did I immediately react by thinking, oh my gosh, what a coincidence. Eventually the orange cat got closer to our house and I could tell it was another cat...but I realized that I had not for a second believed in the magic...Sometimes I have a feeling he says soothing words to me, looks over me, and stange enough for someone who is going past her mid fifties when he conveys feelings to me, it's like he is so much older and wiser than me, almost like a father. Was this always the case, it seems I don't recall it being so when we were together, rather I was his big mama.... So I agree, we have to leave ourselves open to their communication, I also agree with what others say, that those departed can not change anything in our lives because other wise the living would be ruled by the departed and this can not be the state of this world. Nevetheless, I would think that communication with them must be very soothing and I will try to open up to what logic tells us to shut up. Take care EM and keep soaring!
