Furrys Mum
My dearest darling Furry came back to me last night - & it wasn't a dream.
I was asleep but woke up when I sensed a cat on the bed beside me in the dark. I assumed that it was Bella, as she has been great at coming to cuddle up to me in the early hours, when I am often lying awake & grieving. So I spent a few minutes stroking her then decided to turn on the torch to see what time it was. I switched on the torch but there was no Bella on the bed beside me, where a second ago I had been stroking the soft fur. I got up immediately, & Bella was fast asleep in another bedroom - no way she could have been with me just seconds before.
So I believe that it was Furry, coming for a cuddle & to tell me that there is a life for her after death & she's doing fine & that she doesn't want me to be in such pain. I don't know if she will be able to come again, so she wants me be to try & be strong now, but it's very hard when I miss her so.
Furry I wish we had gone together, I will never stop loving & missing you.

That's wonderful! Oh, I am so happy for you that you got to experience this time with your Furry. I know how much you have been missing her lately. I so wish that Alley would do that for me some night. Just to be able to stroke her fur for a minute, how amazing that would be.

I hope Furry's visit has cheered you up a little and helped you to feel closer to her. Please let us know if she visits again. She may not be able to for a while, or maybe this was a one time thing, but I'm so happy for you. It gives me hope that maybe someday, my Alley will come back to me.

I agree she came back to re-assure you. I had a similar experience last year when Bam our dog came back to see me. I heard her claws tap tap tapping on the floorboards, and felt her brush behind me when I was standing in the kitchen, in the same place I would stand when I prepared her food. My other half doesn't believe in ghosts or life-after-death, and even though Bam was his before we met, she never came to see him.

How wonderful that Furry came back to comfort you. My Daisy also made the trip. Now try to honor Furry's wishes, as I am trying to honor Daisy's, and be happy, so she doesn't have to make the long trip again.

I truly believe that it is our furbabies' last wish that we be happy, until such time as we meet them again. It is very hard.

What an experience for you, to have your baby come back to you in the most special of ways! I'm so very happy for you. What peace it must have given you. I wish my baby could come back for me, that way, even if only for one second. I would give anything to pet his soft fur again, kiss his muzzle and sweet forehead. Bless you, Furry's Mum. Thank you all for your replies.
I feel that the depth of our love for each other keeps us connected somehow.
I don't believe in any religion, but I am now so sure that Furry exists somewhere & is aware of me still & knows how much I love & miss her. This is a comfort to me. I read her diary every morning - what she was doing this date last year, but there's only until July 23rd, then she won't have been here for a whole year. That's going to be terrible.

I'm glad that you got to experience this; I think that anyone who gets this kind of experience or sign finds it very comforting; if only we could have more of them but I believe that it takes a lot of energy for a pet who has crossed over to make an appearance, even in dreams.

It sounds like you had a very special bond with Furry and she's letting you know that that bond continues on forever. I'm so sorry for your loss.
