I am heart broken today. I sent my little girl, Missy, over the bridget last night. She was such a good girl. We had her in our lives for 15 1/2 years. She came from the local humane society (pregnant), gave birth to 8 babies and than brought a lot of fun and joy to our lives. The past few months have been difficult for her and for her persons. We hated to make 'the decision' but it was obvious the time had come. I have lost 2 other dogs since 1999 and the pain is awful each time. It is good to know there is a place where others understand.

I am so sorry about your Missy. Thank you for loving her and giving her a good life. She will take that love with her to the Summerland, and she will stay curled up in your heart.

There is nothing like this pain. Again, I am so sorry.

Hi.I also want to say how very sorry I am about the loss of your baby girl.It is so hard to lose them.I hope it helps to know you are not alone in your hurt and that we are here for you if you need a friend or a shoulder to cry on.I understand the pain your in,I lost my baby boy Sox back on Oct. 13th.He was 16 yrs. old and had feline diabetes.We had to put him to sleep because his kidneys were failing.We all feel a kinship on this site and we have been brought together by grief.I will keep you in my prayers and my thoughts tonight.Sincerely,Renee (Sox's mom)

Oh that decision is a hard one to make, I had a feeling that haunted me that maybe he would get better and live yet another year, that was my heart but my head was telling me that he was suffering and it was time. Missy was very fortunate that you rescued her and gave her a good home and many years of love and I am sure she was very grateful for it too. Our thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear Misty. Many of us know exactly how hard the decision is to let them go, but in the end, its an easy choice. When it comes to the choice of having them suffer and in pain, or letting them go, and taking on the pain yourself... there's only one thing you can do.

I had to let me Alley go on December 9th and my heart still feels so empty and lost without her.
