for those who have been here a while, i adopted a kitty after waiting for 10+ years after the death of tribble. his name was Freaky and he died of FIP near his 8mo birthday (see here for that story).

now a month or two later, my wife and i will be adopting another fluff ball. the no-kill shelter named him Minnie-Me, because he looks exactly like his mother. we are going to change that name once we get a good feel for his personality. we would take his mom, but she has not adjusted well and appears to be afraid of dogs, of which we have one.

we pick up the wee one on thursday night. better photos to come. lets keep our fingers crossed this little boy stays around for many years.

He is just adorable! I'm so happy to hear that you've brought in another little guy and I truly hope he is healthy. I know it must be so hard to try again so soon after little Freaky.

poor kid has a mild URI, just a few sniffles after his neutering yesterday, but he is spunky as can be. still no name for this one, he has a white tipped tail...just about 1 inch tipped, would like to think around that for a name.

Oh what a great picture! Look at that face! He is sooo handsome. I'd love to know what you decide to name him. Oh I just what to hug him. I'm so happy for you all.

For a name it took us a while for Majik, we kept calling him different things till one stuck. A white striped tail? Maybe something Like Ringer. LOL Just fooling around.


A quick edit: I meant to say too, poor baby with the URI, so many of them from shelters come home with that. Our new baby, Majik did, and very sore eyes. It's not a big deal, but you feel sorry for the poor little buggers.

Congratulations!! He is a cute little guy but I'm sure you know that already. Let us know when you decide on a new name. (maybe Tiptop? Now you see why some of ours were named Daddy Cat, Miss Kitty, Tommy, etc... Maybe I'd better start letting the wife name them!)

tippy is among the list of finals. i think the family is leaning towards Funky (Freaky, Funky...sounds like brothers). time still will tell. right now we say 'hey kitty' and he seems to listen

I was going to suggest Tippy, Tipps or Tipster, some of the names that were going thru my head whilst painting the hallway just now! Or how about Flicker because of the flicker of light on his tail?

he definitely is one of the crazy kittys, i had forgotten (again) how rambunctious these critters can be. fun to watch him hop straight up in the air. so far he enjoys sleeping on my wrist (the computer mouse wrist) while i work...not the greatest place, seems cats always find a fav spot where you least want them to
tribble would have enjoyed this cat, as would have freaky.

awww he sounds like a complete delight! That's something I miss and haven't been able to be around in many many years, that little kitten energy and craziness! Even when Alley was a baby she was very quiet and refined most of the time. It was her older brother Wiley who was the hellcat.

Your kitty (we must have a name soon! lol) sounds so adorable. Sleeping on your wrist probably isn't the best place, but who can bother him when he's sleeping so cute!!

Your baby is a darling!!!! Too cute! I too forgot the kitty whizzes kittens get.....my 2 two year olds have their moments but pretty soon they are like, "ok enough of that, time for dinner/cuddle/bug the dog".

thanks Beth, i fixed it.

What a sweetheart. He did go through his neutering anesthetic okay. So it is hard to understand what happened. Hopefully understanding helps us to look out and maybe prevent another sweetheart leaving way too soon to even accept.
