Full Version: I'm So Sad About Barbaro

Shortrish
I've been watching the progress over the past 8 months of Barbaro the beautiful race horse who tragically broke his leg during a race. I have been sobbing my heart out, watching the news conference of the owners and surgeon who cared so lovingly fot this beautiful horse. Barbaro got worse during the night, and they knew that they had to do. They had done everything, an had to make the decision that many of us have had to make - to euthanize a beloved pet. I was so shocked to hear this on the news. He had done so well, but, recently had setbacks. It was so sad, but touching to see, how grief stricken his surgeon was that it had come to this. He did everything he could, and was so obviously upset by having to euthanize this gorgeous animal after such a long and corageous battle.
My thoughts and prayers are with Barbaros owners and all those who cared for him, and for all the people who cared so much about this animal.
Rest is Peace Barbaro - Run free in the beautiful meadows of The Rainbow Bridge. wub.gif

You said it so well -- "if only his legs had been as strong as his heart . . ." I knew if I came back here to this site there would be a topic about Barbaro and his strong spirit, his literal beauty and the beauty that shone from within. Barbaro's death wasn't even on the front page of our local newspaper. . . God bless his soul, and I know that He will. I am only glad he suffers no more.
