Today is one year since we had to say goodbye to our beautiful friend and companion Byron.
He was diagnosed with Cancer and we had to have him PTS five weeks later, to end his suffering.
Byron was a stray who just wandered in and stole our hearts, he was a magnificent big Tuxedo cat and we got to keep and love him for ten short years.
We still miss you everyday and tears are never far away, your buddy Cleo keeps us company and she misses you too.
If tears could build a stairway
and memories a lane
We would walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again
Forever in our hearts, Love Mum and Dad ***

Oh my goodness,Byron was an absolutely beautiful cat! I love that picture you shared with us.He looks so regal. I have a special thing about black and white cats so I know how much you miss him.My boy Sox passed away back on Oct. 13th and I still think of him every day and miss him so much.It is a sad day for you and my heart goes out to you.Try to take comfort in knowing that you gave him a loving home with a wonderful family who did what was right for him when he was suffering with cancer.I know it was a tough decision to make.We had to put our boy to sleep because he had kidney failure. It is a heartbreaking thing to have to go thur.I'm glad you still have one furbaby to love and comfort you.May God bless you tonight.I'll put you in my prayers if it is okay with you. Please come back more often and share a few stories of Byron with us.How did he get that name? Take care and be good to yourself.Sincerely,Renee (Sox's mom)

Oh your Byron was so handsome, I'm so sorry you lost him. he really does look magnificent. Thank you for the picture. The year anniversary is just so hard.
Our Moustache kitty passed three months ago now, he was only 10. He was a tuxedo too. They are special boys.
Thinking of you and your Byron

What a handsome boy he was! It hasn't been two months since I lost my girl Alley and I can only imagine how its going to feel at that one year anniversary.
I hope Byron is enjoying his time with all the other kitties at the rainbow bridge but I'm sure he is missing you just as much as you miss him.

Cleo1,
What a beautiful kittycat Byron was; such lovely coloring and facial features. I know how much this hurts; the anniversary's can bring renewed pain all over again. Perhaps you can do something like get some pretty flowers and lay them down for him, in his name and honour. Or light a candle for him and tell him how much you love him.
The important thing here is that you'll always love him, no matter how much it hurts; the hole of grief never closes completely, but having lost many pets over the years, I can honestly say that eventually it does heal enough for you to go on and remember them with warmth and many smiles.
Just look at that photograph you shared; look how happy and at peace he is in it. I can assure you that he is at peace now, and that he feels your love for him, always.
Warmest wishes and I do understand. Take care.

Sincerely Thankyou to Stargazer gold, ryancat, Moose Mom,Alleysmama and ratlover for your kind words on Byron's 1st Anniversary.
Yesterday was very hard, I kept replaying his last night in my mind and that awful night is not how I want to remember him as he was in a lot of pain and we couldn't get a vet to come out to him.
I am really sorry for all your losses, its the price we pay for loving them so much and Byron was worth every tear I have shed.
Alleysmama my other furbaby Cleo is a black cat she is 15 and doing ok.
Moose Mom your kitty was a Tuxedo and a very handsome boy too. you are right they are special boys
Renee, my youngest daughter called him Byron after the poet Lord Byron because she said he looked regal like an Aristocat and he had a proud stance about him. Also thankyou for your prayers.
ratlover, we had a marble plaque made and placed it over his grave in the back yard.
I have another 1st Anniversary coming up in May when we had to PTS our old girl Topsy she was 22 and 4 months, 2006 was not a good year for us.
Thankyou all again for caring enough to answer my post and look and comment on Byron it made the day a little easier.
Take care, Cleo1

You lost two in 2006? That is so hard, I'd say 2006 was bad for you. I'm so sorry you lost your Topsy also. It's so hard to lose one that old, it's like you don't have a memory without them in it. I lost my 22 year old kitty, Butch, 10 years ago. We lost our Moose kitty in late October and my husbands father passed just after Christmas. All in all I'd say 2006 was a crappy year. 2007 just HAS to be better, for you and for us.
Love
