I found some more pictures and just wanted to share them with everyone. The first two are a couple more pictures of Alley sitting in my (old) bedroom windowsill. Its the one she liked to sleep in, but was just a wee bit too chubby to stretch out like she liked!

The 3rd picture is Alley's older sister from a previous litter, same mother and father, "Stinky" (named by my son when he was small!). Stinky was going to live with my stepsister and travel cross country with her back to Massachussetts. Unfortunately, my stepsister wasn't as bright as some, and at the first stop managed to let Stinky get off the leash and get away. It was raining and she ran off into the woods behind the gas station. They looked for a long time but as scared as she was, she wouldn't have come out of hiding. She was a sweet kitty, who deserved better than to be left to starve or die on the highway. I called the store and had them post a notice with my number, etc. but it was too far for me to visit myself. I like to think that maybe she found a good home somewhere and was taken care of. Its probably not true, but thinking of the alternatives keeps me up nights.

The 4th picture is Smokey. I had Smokey for about 6 months and it became obvious that he needed more attention than I could give him, having 2 other cats already. He was the most loving, snuggling little boy ever. My brother visiting from Florida fell in love with him and ended up taking him home. He DID make the trip just fine and they had him for 6 joyful years until illness took him from their lives.

I like to think that maybe these three, who were siblings and roomies at one time in their life, are maybe keeping eachother company over the rainbow bridge now. They were each special in their own way, none more so than my baby girl Alley, and I miss them all.

Rest in peace babies.

All beautiful babies! Thank you for sharing them with us. I see what you mean about the window sill, you said she fell out sometimes. Well at the bridge she has a nice wide one.

Stinky looks like my Butch kitty, so of course I think she was absolutly beautiful!

I love Smokey's eyes, kinda crossed, just too cute.

What a lovely thought, I'm sure they are, I think that would give me comfort.

Alley looks kinda like my kitty, Koko, who also likes to be on window sills. Luckily, I have kitty perches, or she would fall off.

I guess it is thoughts like that, that are the only thing we have to comfort us right now. Do you think your Moose and Butch have met up somewhere, swapping stories about you??

LOL well maybe smile.gif The swapping stories part cracked me up, don't know why but thanks for that! It's a bad day for me, I could use a laugh. If they are swapping stories Butch is MAD, Moose got to do so many things he didn't. Losing Butch changed me profoundly. 'Don't sweat the small stuff' (and it's all small stuff) became my personal motto. Butch had so many rules, don't do that, don't get on this, don't eat that, piff what did it matter? So Moose could ruin anything and I just bought a new one. Moose's favorite thing was hanging out on the table, something Butch was not allowed to do.

Now I wonder about Moose, Majik gets to do things he didn't. One of Majik's nicknames is 'butter nose', 'cause he loves to lick the marg out of the tub when we are trying to make toast in the morning. (We are careful he doesn't get too much, just a lick or two or three wink.gif. We would never have let Moose do that, I don't know if it's getting old or just letting go.

I have a great many babies at the bridge. I always can think of Butch and Alex together there, they passed just 5 weeks apart and were great friends in life. I have more trouble putting Moose with them, I don't know why but maybe because they never knew each other in life? I'm working on it, it would help to think that Butch is talking care of Moosie.

When I go I want to wake up in a big bed, with all my babies there with me. Even the puppy I had for a short time when I was a kid that I cannot remember the name of. I remember you puppy, even if I can't remember your name. All of them happy and young and playing and loving me. For me that is heaven.

That sounds like a wonderful thing, to wake up with all the little kitties snuggled up around you.

I know what you mean about being more lenient with Moose, then even more so with Majik. Now I feel bad about all the times I had to kick Alley out of bed because she wanted to play "kill the covers" when I was trying to sleep, or all the little toys or treats I never bought her, things like that. She had a good life, I will never doubt that, but now I feel like I should have made it even more so.

I have a wonderful close-up shot of Stinky's face that I'm giong to try to scan later. The scans don't turn out as clear and nice as the actual pictures, but its such a great pic, that I just have to share.

ok here's is the close up of Stinky (Alley's older sister). I thought this was such a great picture and just wanted to share it.

Please remember here in your prayers. I will never know what happened to her, but can only assume she crossed the bridge a few years ago.

Wow what a great photo! Stinky was so gorgeous, what a face. She really does remind me of my Butch kitty. To me he was the most beautiful cat in creation smile.gif Thank you for the wonderful photo.

I would love to see a picture of Butch if you have one to post!

I never truly appreciated Stinky when I had her. She was always the "2nd cat" and I feel terrible about that.

I truly hope that her and Alley and Smokey are all together somewhere, snuggled up like in this picture. It's not a great one, but it is the only one i have of the three of them together. They used to all sleep in my bed with me the short time I had them together. What a purr-fest that was!

OMG the picture of them all together is just too cute! A 'purr-fest' sounds purrfect, LOL. None of my Butch pictures are digital, I did have some but the computer they were on crashed and they got lost.

My Alex was the 2nd cat too, or the 'other cat' when I had Butch. He died so soon after Butch (5 weeks) and I had no energy to morn him either. Now I feel guilty and like such a nasty person for treating him like that. He was a beautiful kitty who deserved much more than life or I gave him. If you can hear me buddy, I'm so danm sorry for that. You were a hard kitty to love, but I did love you.

I guess maybe we both need to work on forgiving ourselves, which can be a very hard thing to do.
