Moose Mom
Here is our new kitten Majik, he is about 12 weeks old. He was a very hard kitten to see the potential in when we met him. He had been born outside and brought to the shelter with 7 brothers and sisters. His fur was very dull and dirty, and since it’s long, very matted on his bum with dirt and poop. He was very thin, you could feel every bone. He was not socialized at all, and very scared of hands.

We have had him about a month, I finally got some pictures of him. He is all boy kitty, very into adventures and mostly fuzz and speed. What a jumper! He’s gained a lot of weight and is a nice solid kitty now. He also loves people, and hands don’t scare him anymore. We did have to shave his bum but the fur is growing back so nice. He has a very long tail and big paws, if he grows into his tail and feet, he’s gonna be a BIG boy, we are delighted.

We moved into our house 9 years ago when it was new. He has already gotten into the drawer in the kitchen and from that under the cupboards. Yep he came out all covered in sawdust! LOL, he was not pleased to be held and brushed till we got all the sawdust off. Since then he is learning to like the brush, his fur is long enough we have to keep him brushed.

We have an oval tub, and I was taking a bath one night. I had moved forward and was draining the tub when SPLASH. I thought my book had fallen in (again) and looked behind me to find a black kitty with very big eyes paddling in the water! OMG, LOL. I scooped him out by his tummy, grabbed a towel and went after him. He got water all through the house till I caught him and dried him off. Most of the water was out so he only got his legs, tummy and tail wet, but he was upset! He especially didn’t like that mommy thought it was so darned funny. He is very quite, hardly talks at all, but I got an earful that night.

Welcome Majik, to our home, our lives and our hearts. You have brought energy, joy and laughter back into our house. We have lost our hearts to you already.

Oh Lori what an absolutely beautiful kitty! I'm partial to black cats and he is simply gorgeous. Sounds like a definite handful and so much fun. Congratulations on the new addition to your family.

We do have our hands full, LOL. We had kinda forgotten how much energy a kitten has (whew). laugh.gif

Thank you. He is fun, I just had to get up and go rescue the blinds, and clean dust off his head, again. LOL He finds dirt in places I didn't even know to clean!

When I saw your picture of Alley I thought this guy was gonna look a lot like her when he grows up, and that would be a wonderful thing.

If he looks like Alley then you will have the most beautiful cat in the world biggrin.gif

Please keep us posted on him and pictures when you have them.

I can't get a kitty until I move after July, but I would love to watch yours grow!
Moose Mom
AlleysMama

July? Ack too long, I'm sure you feel that way too. I understand, but how hard to wait! I'll post more pictures of Majik when I have them, and let you share smile.gif We are discovering that Moose left such a big hole that we may have to look for one more. We think Majik needs a buddy to play with and his 10 year old sister just isn't having it. She will play with him a bit, but she isn't too into the wrestling! LOL poor little Autumn, she had a nice quiet life...

The little guy has his head on my foot right now, so cute. Guess I have to get off the computer and go play!

Lori,

We were watching an episode of the comedy, "Scrubs", on TV last night, part of which centered around how emotional heartbreak could physically wreck one's heart (I was surprised the show even got that serious!) and they had a scene where they were trying to revive a man who'd lost his heartbeat, so remembering this lesson, JD (Dr. John Dorian) wondered aloud just HOW to bring instant happiness into someone's life, in this emergency situation......and so he grabbed a cardboard box and spilled out this entire boxful of.....kittens!!!...who proceeded to climb all over this man's chest (and of course, 'woke' him up, he started grinning hugely as he stroked the kittens, etc.). I made my H replay it, just because it made me go "Aaaaawwwwww".

Congratulations on your newest 'Aaaawww-baby'! He's a fuzzy peach, here to help you heal through play therapy! smile.gif
AlleysMama
I saw that episode as well and it was just adorable!

Lori,

I would have a dozen cats if I could, like one of those crazy old cat ladies! biggrin.gif

Waiting until July is hard, but I'm not going to run out and get the first cat I see after that, well, at least I say that. Some little face staring at me through the cage at the shelter may have other plans!

I have always had a cat in my life, thats another reason this past year without Alley was so hard, not only missing her and wanting her to come live with me, but just the fact that there wasn't a little furball there to pet and snuggle with was very hard.

Now that fate has made other plans for Alley and she won't be joining me in July, I think I could make some other little kit happy and take it home with me instead. Alley was the first and only female cat I ever had and I wonder if that made our bond different, more special. I'm wondering if I should get a little boy this time, so it will feel less like I'm "replacing" my Alley. Any thoughts?
Furkidlets' Mom
Paula,

I don't really think gender has anything to do with those loving bonds. Sabin was, of course, male, and Nissa was his female sister, yet the undying, closer-than-close bonds I had with each of them, though just slightly different, were both just as strong. Each one of them was like one-half of me...remember, our animals often come to us to mirror what's going on with ourselves, so often their personalities are inherently good matches for our own. Besides....(time for a little bit of humour)....what makes you think YOU'LL be the one doing the picking anyway? wink.gif You'll only be listening to that soft voice in your heart that's receiving the thoughts directly from the little one who's chosen YOU....or you could just get a whole BOXful! biggrin.gif
AlleysMama
That's true. My mom always said that Alley was exactly like me! lol

I'm sure when the time comes, there will just be a little face somewhere that I just can't walk away from. I look forward to that day.

Please do keep us posted on your new baby. I look forward to watching him grow.

Congrats! Black Cats Rule!

I had a black kitty named Magic too. She spelled her name different though. I don't recall her taking any baths either. wub.gif

Ohhhh someone dump a box full of kitties on me too cuz I'm feeling the love!!!

He is a fuzzy peach smile.gif He is helping too. Thank you.

Dang I missed the episode but it sounds wonderful. It would bring me back for sure! My thought is that when I go I want to wake up in a bed covered with all the little ones I lost. A few new ones, in the form of babies who never found a love on earth, would be good too!

I remember going to a friends house a long time ago, her cat had just had kittens. They were about 3 weeks and just crawled all over me, it was soooo good. I had one on my back, one on my lap, and one hanging off my hair. I was so happy for days after that. That to me is heaven.

See not having a fur baby to pet and love, I don't think I could stand it. That must be so hard for you! I've had constant fur kids for 32 years. I had some on and off before that, but my mom was NOT a pet person.

Hummm well we replaced a boy with a boy. Like Furkidlets' Mom I'm not sure it matters, it's more the personality. I like boy kitties, they seem to be a bit cuddlier, but of course I love my little kitty girl Autumn so much...LOL. I just doesn't matter.

Some people can't have one the same color (like me) it just hurts too much. Some people find comfort in one that looks like the one they lost. It depends on you, and the kitty of course! I didn't, in fact, want an all black kitty. I thought it would look too much like Moose. I'm still not quite sure how I got one, he was somehow just the right one.

Like you I'd have a dozen, my husband keeps me from getting too nuts smile.gif.

Black cats rule, yes! Loving my little black Majik, lol.

Yeah the bath was a new one on me. So funny! I have to admit, we did kind of set him up. We didn't mean too. It's hard to remember he never saw furniture before, or bathtubs. It's a nice big oval tub, so we put a ball in it to play with. Who knew he'd pile in without looking? When I was in there too?

Now you know if they dumped a box of kittens on you, you'd have to keep them all! LOL me too! No matter how many were in the box.

It has been really hard not having a fur baby here with me. I have had cats my whole life growing up and all of my adult life except for this past year when I had to leave Alley at my mom's. The apartment just seems so empty without one.

Thank you, thank you. He's so funny. When I got up this morning I found a play mousie in my chair! LOL. He's climbing the back of my chair right now.

I still miss my black and white boy so much, I wish I had been strong enough to get another one who looked like that, but it just hurt to much. This guy gives us laughs and joy, it helps.

Just wondering how little Majik is doing?
Moose Mom
Alleys Mama

Gosh that's so funny, I just got some pictures I was gonna add! Thanks so much for the tips on the photos and photobucket!

Everyone

Majik is doing just great. Growing so fast, wow. His nicknames so far are, Mr. Adventure, Roughy-Toughy, and Butternose. LOL He will have lived with us for 2 whole months on Friday.

While he hasn't jumped in the tub again, he has fallen in a couple of times, he loves to walk on the edge but it's slick, ya know? He plays with the cord to the mouse while I'm on the computer, it keeps moving, lol.

I was crying last night, so sad for my Moose and Majik got on my lap, curled up on my chest, put a little velvet paw on my cheek and licked the tears off. Of course that was so sweet it made me cry more.

Just Look at that tail!

Time to go nite-nite

Lori

He looks so much like Alley when she was younger! For the first year or so she really didn't have very long fur, just a bush tail. It took a couple of years before she grew in a full "ruff" around her chin and the long hair on her belly and backside! I had forgotten until I was looking through old pictures and almost wondered if the pictures were of her brother Wiley, that I had before Alley because the hair wasn't all fluffy. Now if you tell me he has one white whisker I will think he is Alley's soul son! tongue.gif

He really does look so much like her, I really enjoy seeing the pictures and hearing about him.

Thank you for the update!
Furkidlets' Mom
Lori,

OK, what's with the "Butternose" nickname? What did he DO?! laugh.gif Majik sounds like a real skeezicks! You'd best keep an extra towel....or a ladder near that tub of yours! You're so lucky he's there to help in his own way with your grief...sigh...so sweet, those little paws, eh? Do ya think that bed is BIG enough for him, though?! laugh.gif (and he really does look alot like Alley!)
Schtoobing'sMom
Mazel Tov on your new baby! He's a handsome devil, isn't he? And he certainly looks like he could be Alley's son...

I'm so glad that you have this joy in your life again, Lori. You have so much love to give, Majik is a lucky boy!
Moose Mom
Alleys Mama

Well I looked closely and he does have one white wisker, omg. Maybe he is her soul son. He is just fuzzy now, but he has such long guard hairs and eyebrows...that is gonna be long fur. He is so soft! Like velvet all over. I just love that he wants to be wherever I am.

Nissa's Mommy

He likes to lick the marg when we have toast in the morning. smile.gif So he gets 'butter' on his nosie, LOL We don't let him have a bunch, but a few licks never hurt anyone smile.gif Oddly enough he likes to lick peanut butter off toast too. Dogs and peanut butter yes, but a cat? Sometimes I think he's the reincarnation of a cat I had named Alex, who ate a peanut once.

We had to get the king size bed to fit Moustache and anyone else, lol. Majik is kinda lost in it, isn't he? He was actually 'helping' make the bed. He 'helps' us do everything, it's so cute! He LOVES to find his own toys, I found my sponge from the bathtub in the living room, it took me a minute to figure out how it got there!

I can't tell you how great it is to have him in our lives. We are so, so sad about Moose, that doesn't change. Just to have a velvet baby to hold is so nice, and he makes us laugh every day. It's nice to have Autumn and Majik to hold on to, to love and to laugh at. Of course it makes some days odd, crying and laughing at almost the same time.

Schtoobing's Mom

Thank you! Thanks for saying he's handsome. We thought about another tuxedo boy, but decided it would hurt too much. Look at that little face, how could you NOT love the stuffing out of him?

I'd say the only thing about him I wish were different is that he is so, so quiet! He doen't talk much and when he does it's a very small mew, and a very quiet purr. Not that that's not wonderful, but I'm used to a much more demanding boy. I miss it. Silly isn't it? To miss the demanding. I always called it delightfully demanding and I actually loved it.

Moose had such a huge soul, such a big presence, that the house still feels empty. A friend's dad has a pregnant kitty, we are seriously thinking of taking one of the kittens when it's born. I can't decide if it's a good idea or if we are nuts. But I can't wait to see the babies!

Love
Furkidlets' Mom
laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif Okay, that explains it! And yah, peanut butter IS odd for a cat! If he's "jawing" afterwards, you've just gotta get a pic of that! tongue.gif

The sponge..... laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif !!! I guffawed at that one! Gad, I miss those silly days!

The bed....yah, I know...when he starts stretching out horizontally in between you two, I know even a kingsize isn't going to be big enough! LOL! (Sabin actually pushed his Daddy right off the edge once, in our queensize bed! LOL! I was laughing, his Daddy wasn't! LOL! That made ME laugh even harder!)

No, it's not silly to miss those things. I don't think I COULD live very well now with someone who wasn't vocal and loud AND demanding! We called Nissa and Sabin our task-mistress and task-master....and loved it, too! But that's part of what made them so special, just like Moose.

And hey, if you DO end up adopting yet another one, what's wrong with that? Just make sure you tell the 'owners' to get that mother cat and all her kidlets fixed!! dry.gif

(And Diane, yes, your new pic of Schtoobing IS simply wonderful! So glad to see that one of those "What's THAT thing? Here, let me take a CLOSER look!" pics actually worked for someone! tongue.gif )
Moose Mom
Nissa's Mommy

Well the peanut butter is fresh ground, lots of oil, not sticky. So he doesn't have a problem with "jawing", now that would be funny!

When we got the Moose we had a queensize bed, he was what made us get a bigger one, so we had some room! That's funny, Sabin pushing his daddy off the bed! LOL. Moose was trying to get his daddy up once and pulled a catus off the headboard right on to daddy's face! He had dirt all over the side of his face, a bed full of dirt and he was ANGRY. Every time I looked at my husband with one side of his face all dirt, I lost it. He insisted on vacuuing the bed before he washed his face, every time I looked I laughed and he got more angry. At me, not at Moose! So we got rid of plants on the headboard.

Oh I so miss the demanding, no one does that here now. I get asked, nicely. Or told gently 'mommy, I'm hungry' but it's not the same. That I would give anything for. Moose was the king, no doubt. Butch was demanding in another way, he talked to me. He could say 'me out', 'out now', 'no' and 'mama'. He often put the last two together and said 'no, mama no". I miss seeing him at the door and hearing him yelling 'me out, out now'!

Well we'll see about another kitten, and I already told them to get the cat fixed and offered to pay if he doesn't have the money. I'm afraid if I see kittens, we'll be a three kid family!

Love
AlleysMama
Lori

Be sure to give him LOTS of hugs and kisses from me ok?

I love that he "helps" you make the bed and everything else. How adorable is he!! If you want another one, I say go for it. The more the merrier!

I know what you mean about the demanding voice. Alley was such a talker. She didn't meow much when she wanted something (she trained me early on to never let her food bowl get empty so no need to demand! laugh.gif and if it did get empty she would look at it, then turn around and look at me like "well? drop whatever you're doing and fix this!!") but we would have so many wonderful conversations. Whether I was talking with words, or meowing at her, she would just talk back so much I just knew she understood me.

I miss her so much and little majik so reminds me of her that I just love to come here and look at his pictures and read about his little adventures.
Furkidlets' Mom
Oh, Moose was SUCH a character! HA! I don't blame you a bit for laughing at your H! TOO funny! As far as I was concerned, ANYTHING our kids did was cause to laugh about, and forgive them immediately! I even enjoyed the toilet papering down the hall, and actually missed it when they grew tired of that pasttime!

And Moose's convo's were something else, too! TOO CUTE! He sounds alot like my kidlets...so I KNOW he was a grand guy! With Majik, at least that little, polite voice is better than all I've got left right now....that maybe-stray cat (I'm calling her Callie, for want of SOME name) is kinda demanding, BUT then I just get hissed, growled, sometimes spit at &/or swatted for being nice enough to give her some good, warm food! laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

I'm sure though that Majik will grow into the most interesting kidlet, full of spunkie stories for you to treasure and share! And if you're really missing those demanding tones....I could always come over and order you about! I kinda need a pasttime of my own and that sounds pretty good to me!
Ken Albin
Oh yeah, you have definitely got a handful there! LOL. We have a loveable rascal black cat that sounds a lot like your boy. He sounds like he will be making your life very interesting, the little scamp! Have fun and thanks for sharing the photos.
Moose Mom
Alleys Mama

I will give Majik hugs and kisses from you. I love hugs and kisses smile.gif

The only thing he doesn't try to 'help' with is the vacuum, that vacuum monster is just to scary! He 'found' a new toy yesterday, it was so funny. It was a pen I have, it looks like an alien in blue. It's stand is it's feet and it's hair is a round ball of fuzz. I looked up to see him HOPPING into the living room, he was so excited! I couldn't see his face, it was covered in blue fuzz, I don't know how he could see. He hopped all over the house with that thing. He stopped to kick the stand off, so then he 'wrote' on everything he passed. He was so thrilled! He makes such a mess and I just love it, LOL.

Oh Moose was good at that "well? drop whatever you're doing and fix this!!" look! I know just what you mean. The King would only eat 'fresh' food, nothing that had been out a while, I mean pa-elase! His "I'M HUNGRY" yell was wonderful.

Nissa's Mommy

TPing down the hall, it's so funny smile.gif I had a cat who was into that too.

It's actually Butch who "talked". Moose was too busy just yelling, LOL. He could meow so long and so loud I couldn't figure out how he could do it and still breath. I'd tell him "Bud I'm DOING it, breath!"

My Autumn does talk to me, I love that, she just isn't a demanding girl. There is a little stray we feed who comes and talks to me. I call her Molly, I'd love to take her in too, but she won't get close at all. She yells at me from across the street. I have to feed her and go in the house or she won't eat, no matter how hungry she is. She is so pretty, even as dirty as she is. I think she's been abused she is so afraid of people. Callie is just afraid too, I'm sure. Strike before they can get you, I've seen it in other 'stray' cats, poor babies.

Ken

Welcome for the photos. I'm loving the ones of your Peter too.

I did talk to Alley a lot from the time she was a kitten and I have read that the more you talk to one, the more it learns how to "talk" back, so I would just keep talking to Majik all the time, as much as you can and eventually he might learn to be a little noisier! biggrin.gif
Furkidlets' Mom
Lori,

So did you get some PICS of Majik fuzzily doing her artwork??? You KNOW you'll regret it later if you don't! rolleyes.gif And that's TOO cute to miss! But best to keep those " Magic Markers" safe from Majik, if that's her bent! laugh.gif

Yes, I'm sure Callie is frightened, at the very least. I tried today to use a back-scratcher to give her some scritches from 'afar', but she looked so SCARED of the thing that I put it away right away. The only time I can safely give her head a little rub or pat is when she's busy chowin' down on some canned fud. She also seems to be getting even MORE growlie and has managed to scratch me a few times lately out of the blue. I saw her vomit fluid the other day outside and it scared the bejeezers outta me, thinking maybe she, too, has kidney issues or something else horrible....something I'm not ready to deal with seeing. If she'd come around when I'm actually dressed and ready to go outside, I might be able to follow her and see if she does, indeed, have a home or not. So her irritability might also be from illness, for all I know. But she seldom wants to stay inside for long after I feed her....she's busy scratching at the door, yelling and hissing and spitting for me to let her OUT! NOW!! Heck, for all I know, maybe she HAS people and they have her on a diet to lose some weight (she's pretty stocky) and I'm totally wrecking their health plan!
Moose Mom
Nissa's Mommy

No I didn't get a picture, dang it. I was so busy following him and laughing that I never even thought of it. I'll have to try to get one now, he still likes the thing. I'll try to keep the magic markers away from him, but you know that 'but mommy, I'd love them look'? He gives me that and he gets most anything.

Everyone

I have another Majik story. I took a shower this morning, and Majik was there 'helping' me. I have a double shower curtain and he likes to get under the opaque one and look through the transparent one, it's so cute! So after the shower he jumped into the tub, which was still wet. Then he tried to jump onto the toilet top, missed and fell into the cat box. Okay so now we have a wet, muddy kitty. He then walked all over the bathroom. Little muddy pawprints on the sink, in the sink, on the counter, on the toilet, on the floor. He is so funny!

It reminded me of the time I came home from work and found that instead of a white kitty and a black kitty I had two gray kitties. They had gotten into the fireplace. Little ash footprints all over the house!

Love
AlleysMama
awww what a cute story. Seems like Majik might have a water fixation!

LOL @ the ash kitties. Alley used to roll around in the dirt road and come in looking brown and want to get in my bed!

It has been over a week, so you know we will be needing our fix of Majik pics again soon tongue.gif
Moose Mom
Majik went outside today for the first time! We did well, he is very cautious about it and ran back in when a car came by, but it was a good first time outside since he's lived here.

He doesn't really like the harness, but we got it on him with daddy holding him. Then he did a little dance and roll, trying to get it off, but when we opened the door and he figured out that meant he could GO, well it was all okay. We had been a little worried, he really kinda hated the harness, was a little scared of it and I won't let him go out without. It took patience on the parents part I think. smile.gif

It's just been so darn cold and snowy here, we just didn't want him out in it. I took him out one night in my arms and he started to shiver, poor baby. It's still cold and snowy, but we got some sun so it seemed like a good idea. He has been looking out the door and is so jealous his sister goes out.

Alley's Mama

Well maybe he does have a water fixation, lol. Autumn likes to go out, roll around, and come in get my side of the bed all dirty! Even better if I forgot to make it. I just love my babies smile.gif

More pictures? Girl I'm not a techie! LOL my digital camera is messed up, so I have to take the pics the old fashioned way, and send them off to be processed. At least they send me digital ones. I'll get more up soon, promise. I'm hoping next week will be better for you honey, I know this one sucked.

Love
AlleysMama
aww I bet he had fun with his outside experience.

As for the pictures, I totally understand. I only got my digital camera this past year. I wish I had had it when I was with Alley because then I would have a ton of pictures of her sad.gif
Moose Mom
Okay I was just feeling so bad and crying my eyes out and missing my Moosie so much. I had to go potty and there in the cat box was my towel, well buried. OMG it made me laugh. Talk about mood swings, but Majik is a blessing.

Love you little guy
AlleysMama
Hehe maybe he didn't like the way the towel smelled or something, LOL

What a little cutie! I wish so much that I could get a little guy right away. I just know it would cheer me up. I'm starting to feel like one of those women desperate to have a baby, LOL, except its a kitty I'm wanting!

Ok clue me in?? I thought microchips were ok. Do they cause issues that I don't know about? That particular shelter microchips every cat that comes through there. What am I missing???

(Feel free to start a new topic on this in the other forum if there is something we should discuss on microchips. Didn't mean to hijack little Majik's thread!)

p.s. That kitty is just adorable! My bf prefers short haired cats, but I think the fluffy ones are best wink.gif
Furkidlets' Mom
See this link to the "Vaccinations" thread.
Vaccinations
(I finally realized how to DO these links!)
Moose Mom
Majik is a funny guy, he makes our lives more fun.

Don't worry about hijacking the thread, you have to answer where the question comes up. I thought about the microchip all night, Majic came with one. Many shelters won't let you take a baby without one. Here is my thought, for what it's worth. Our society does way to many things from fear, not really a good way to run your life, I'm trying to do things from love. So from love, if the kitty doesn't have a microchip, love would say don't put one in, and don't let the fear of losing him make you get one. On the other hand, if the kitty, like Majik HAS a chip, just leave it there. The surgery to take it out is going to be stressful and could cause who knows what. Leave it in and DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. Let your (natural) vet know.

Anyway that's what I came up with in the night. I'm happy with it. smile.gif

Alley's Mama

Dang you find the cutest kids! I'd take him in a minute, he is so cute. You must be killing yourself looking at these kids.

Love
Furkidlets' Mom
Another good answer, Lori. I'd probably do the same, but keep the removal in mind if there were ever a needed surgery or dental cleaning or something, when they're 'out' anyway - also a good time to exchange it for a tattoo.

Now....back to Majik! Any new amusing shenanigans lately?

I really do torture myself looking at petfinder when I know I can't have one yet! I can't help it though, they are so adorable! Its nice though, when I notice a listing that disappears after a couple weeks because that means that particular kitty has found a home smile.gif On the other hand, some of the adults I see there week after week and its sad that nobody wants them. I would take them ALL if I could!

As for the microchips I think your idea might be best. If they have one, leave it. If they don't, don't get it. I wouldn't want to put them through unnecessary surgery, either way.

Renee's little Smoky is adorable too! Now I want him AND majik for myself, lol. Fuzzy black cats will always have my heart though wub.gif

I looked at little Smoky and of course had to think how cute the two would be together. Majik and Smoky, awww. I bet they could tear the place up, Majik does pretty good on his own! He had us up at 4 am today, to play. He walked on daddy's face to get into the window and on mine to get out, what a hoot.

I know, the older cats that just sit there day after day, crap. We only got a kitten because Autumn doesn't really like other cats. While we are having some issues, we expected them. I thought she would have an bit of an easier time with a kitten, and would be less likely to try to hurt it. I'm not sure of the easier time, she still doesn't really like him, but at least she isn't hurting him. Of course HE keeps jumping on her. I see things getting better slowly, I'm sure some day it will be okay. There was the most beautiful girl there, a Maine Coon gray tabby, 4 years old. I wanted her so much, but while Autumn will tolerate a boy, a girl is just begging for trouble.

I can understand that. When you already have a cat, you have to keep in mind what age and *** they are likely to have less trouble adjusting to, and can't just go get whichever one you like. I'm glad they seem to be doing ok. It does take time. I was really lucky with Alley in that regard, she didn't mind other cats or kittens either one. She didn't like them but didn't fight with them either. She just had no interest in them at all and so ignored them the same as she did most everyone else except me smile.gif LOL. She was such a character! Even the little dogs my mom had, they would be barking at her and she would just walk right by them like they weren't even there and flip her big fat tail in their face! laugh.gif She was so funny. Ok now I'm missin my girl something awful sad.gif

I can just see Majik walking on faces to get someone up to play with him! What a little cutie he is!
