Simba's Daddy
When I woke up this morning I seen my cat "Simba II" standing on the floor next to my bed just looking at me. I greeted him like I normally do with a "good morning buddy!" and then started making those "tsk-tsk-tsk" sounds to call him to me. He came running to me with great enthusiasm...

He jumped on my bed and then crawled onto my chest and plopped down on his back so I could pet his belly while he purred really loud. The sight of him on his back and looking at me with his upside down head was priceless.

What a great way to start off the day. How could anyone resist falling in love with that?

Definately something non pet owners will never experience (unless they get a pet of course) so don't understand our grief when we lose our best friends.

Hi there!

I can't imagine NOT being owned by a couple of beautiful furcats wub.gif !! My husband and I treasure our kids - we are so very, very lucky and extremely grateful to love and to be loved by our furkids smile.gif !

Aren't WE the lucky ones???? I can imagine how your heart burst with joy at your early morning encounter with your precious Simba II wub.gif . True love! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story biggrin.gif !

More often than not when I'm out doing errands and drive back home into our parking lot, before I'm out of the car, Ms. Lucy is at her perch in the living room and I can see her fumbling with the shade so that she can look at me through the screen wub.gif . I'll tell you, if I'm feeling any stress at all, it totally dissolves when I see her sweet face biggrin.gif .

Then, (of course), I stand there outside and talk to her (in our special language/voice tongue.gif ), while she rubs her lil' face all over the screen.

To the people who don't have furbabies, they certainly do not understand the immense joy that we all feel over what may seem "the smallest things".

I wouldn't trade in our furkids for all the money in the world!! They mean everything to us!

Peace & Love to you all,

Denise

I know what you mean. Simba is always at the window and I can pretty much see him as soon as I turn onto my street. It so great how he spots me coming down the street and watches me until I get out of the car and walk up to the window. I stand out there playing with him for a couple minutes too as he looks to see if I have anything in my hands.

I keep all the blinds open all the time so he can look out the windows all day long.

When I'm sitting on the couch at night, Jemima would always tap my elbow with her paw or sitting up on her back paws waving her front ones whenever she wanted my attention. And when I came in the door at night from work, she'd be there waiting to be petted.

Checkers, my 8-yr old, when I go to bed, likes to attack my feet when I move them underneath the blankets. It's a regular thing now we do each night. And he likes to stretch across my lap at night when we're watching tv. I love listening to him purr. What a soothing sound.

Non-pet owners just don't understand why this is comforting.

My beautiful Wilson LOVES to give "hugs and nudges" as we call them.
He'll stand up from the table or couch arm, and stretch his long body up with his arms around my neck, and nudge under my chin. Occasionally, there will be some tender "love bites". wub.gif
Just one small thing that makes me grateful that he lives with me. He recently started hugging his daddy too.
I love the way animals express themselves to us, and wonder how ANYONE can doubt their love for us, and our love for them. I pray for those poor souls that don't "get it".
