Hello everyone. It's been some time since I've been here...some time to try and put this whole ugly mess of Chase behind me. I've thought of many of you in my absence. There was many words of comfort given to me here. A lot of the folks in the forum I recognize but I see there is some new faces as well, a testament to the fact that the spectre of doom continues to rob us of our furry loved ones leaving more of us wanting & grieving. I moved forward as one should but when I opened one of the boxes downstairs to get the Christmas stuff out I found a tiny little stocking we used to use for Chase at Christmas....and went to pieces for the first time in a few weeks. I did feel comfort a little when I found this picture in the same box. We wanted to get "deer antlers" for Chase but she refused to wear them. Abigail didn't seem to mind as you can see. I thought I would post this in hopes of putting a smile on someones face in this time of great absence as this for me and many of us here will be the first Christmas without our pets sad.gif

Thank you for sharing it with us.It brought a smile to my face and I needed that tonight.Your little Chase was so cute.....I hope you'll join us in the candle lighting ceremony on christmas eve.At 10:00p.m. eastern time we are all going to light a candle in our babies honor and send out good positive thoughts to each other that we will all have a happy holiday season even tho we are all in such pain.I want to focus on the good memories we have of our loved ones and not the pain of their passing.Great to hear from you again.Sincerely,Renee (Sox's mom)
