I created this little memorial page for my cat Tigger last summer, but I just updated it with pictures, and I would love it if you would all go there and just take a minute to look at it. Tigger was put to sleep on December 31, 2002, at age 15, and since I was only 18 at the time, he had been around for my entire life and it was hard to say goodbye. He was my best friend in the whole world and I loved him more than words can ever say (look at my little picture, how could you not adore that face?). Anyways, I would love it if you would just go look at his memorial because it would mean the world to me to think that he was being remembered (and he was a little attention hog, so I'm sure he would be happy too). Feel free to leave any comments also! Thanks so much!

Andrea---what a wonderful tribute to your Tigger! I get a little misty thinking about how hard it had to be for you---having him in your life from the very beginning. I loved that he watched leaves. He was indeed a very handsome cat--and the most loving best friend! Isn't it poignant that the human life span and the domestic pet life span are so disparate!? And animals are so much better at "unconditional" love than we humans, doesn't it seem?? I noticed that the memorial you did was on beliefnet so I guess you wouldn't mind if I told you that my favorite theory is that God created animals to teach us about unconditional love...perhaps he made our life spans "mis-match" so that we would understand the lesson! for if our dogs and cats got to be 80 or 90 we might never put it all together, that how they treat us is how we should treat one another.

Job 12:7-10
"Ask the animals, and they will teach you."

So glad you have your little kitty!! Thanks for posting. I have had a hard loss and your story heartens me. smile.gif

Andrea,
I agree 100% with what Patti said.

What a precious cat Tigger was, and such a beautiful memorial to him. Yes, such an adorable face!

Andrea,
What a beautiful and fitting tribute to Tigger. My belief that all our dear departed friends are in the loving care of St Francis, patron saint of animals, comforts me when I think about them. Cherish your memories of him until the day St Francis places him in your loving arms once more forever.

Dear Andrea:

Thank you for sharing with me your very beautiful tribute to your best friend, Tigger!! wub.gif

He was a very beautiful and handsome fellow!! (I do adore his little face!!).........

I agree 120% with what Patti said........, and I love that verse: "Job 12:7-10 "Ask the animals, and they will teach you."

I do believe that God created animals to teach us about "unconditional love".... Our beautiful furbabies don't ask for much, but they truly GIVE US EVERYTHING.....don't they??? wub.gif

I never thought about Patti's comment: "Perhaps he made our life spans "mis-match" so that we would understand the lesson...."
That's sooooo true, and I am happy that Patti shared her thought on that.... Thank you!

Andrea, your best friend Tigger is at peace now.....One day, after you have enjoyed a wonderful, beautiful & long life that your Tigger wants his mom to have..... you will be reunited.....

Until that time, you have ALL OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES OF YOUR VERY SPECIAL GUY....... Those can never be taken away..... Thank you God for giving us the "gift" of having memories....

I hope that our girl Ernestine has the very good fortune of running into all of God's creatures, whose PARENT'S make up this wonderful site........ I Thank God daily for Lightning Strikes --- Everyone here is soooo caring and wonderful!!
I am extremely grateful to be a part of this site!! And, everyday I learn something new.

And, as Steve said, all of our furbabies are in the loving care of St. Francis... That too, comforts me!

Please, keep coming here and let us know how you are doing......Okay????

God Bless you!!

Love, Denise
