Tomorrow is the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and children (and me and Precious). I will be saying a special prayer for all of you on this list and lighting a lot of candles in the creche at my church tomorrow morning.
The last line in the Saint Francis prayer is so special to me: "It is in dying that we are born to eternal life". Remember this when you think of your babies; they may be gone physically but they live on!!

Thanks so much Lisa, for praying and lighting candles for all of us. I'm still having a considerably difficult time after Nickels passing. If I go into a church I will break into sobs. I wish that I would have had a chance to think about creamation or other options so I'm missing any type of memorial in that sense and still feel incredible guilt that I didn't make arrangements.

I just wanted to say I think of you often and it's my comfort that you are doing this with all of us in mind. Bless your heart!

There was a special Mass this morning and it was beautiful. Know that I lit candles and prayed for everyone here for health, happiness and healing. If you haven't had your cat's or dog's ashes blessed, it is never too late! Speak to clergy and see if they will be able to help. It doesn't matter what religion your are; it gives your soul a huge lift and helps to come to terms with what's been happening in your life since your pet left this earth.

I also attended Mass that morning. Like you I prayed and lit candles for us and our friends. I also prayed about another issue in my life. The homily could have been written about me. It hit really hit home. I feel much better and the other issue has been resolved positively. What else can I say?
