My Cat Scooter

Well, it has been two weeks since scooter was laid down in my arms. It was just about the toughest thing I have had to do to date. My parents got a little girl kitty, margie, 5 months old. I love playing with her when I go over to see them, but I still miss him so bad. I have a picture of Scooter just above my fireplace, look at it all the time. I wanted to say if I had not found this website things would have been even worse. You are all great people with such touching stires. I will continue to read all of your posts with an occasional word of comfort if I can. But to all of you whom have helped me, thank you. It is you who have made me realize that I WILL see my little buddy again some day.

Mike - I'm glad your parents were able to adopt a new kittie. I never thought we would either, but after 1 week of visiting the local animal shelter, this one little guy just jumped into our hearts. His name is Marcel. I, to grieve over the loss of my Scooter. Some days are worse than other and I cry. I have pictures of my Scooter on my TV, so I see him every day. This site has helped me also.
I'd forgotten with a new kitten that you become a pin cushion of sorts with those little razar sharp teeth and nails. He's about 3-4 months old. Our other 3 cats have to introduce themselves yet. But with cats, it takes time.
I'm glad you found comfort here. I still come here to just voice my feelings or just when there is no one to talk to. It helps.
I hope your healing process continues, and it has been nice meeting you, though I wish it had not been this way.
