Hi to all.
It has been a long, hard year since losing Mo, but a new baby struck me on January 11, 2006. I just wanted to share a pic of my baby band-aid, who holds my heart together every day. I actually put up a post briefly telling the story in death and dying, just because the hope I now feel, is the same hope everyone in grief should find.
Here's my 9 month old Wilson- Just love him, that is all I can say.

Thanks to everyone's compliments on my beautiful baby.
And, yes, he does have me wrapped around his paw, he has since day one.
You are soo right, Ken, he is a real character, and alot of fun to have in our home. The smiles and laughter he brings to us has been a much needed source of healing.
Like I said, I just love him!

Hi all,
The vet classified his coloring as a Chocolate Muted Tabby. He changes in different lighting. Now that he's a bit older, the stripes are harder to see, and at night, he looks almost charcoal grey. When I called the woman who had him to go see him, she said he was brown and was calling him "brownie". I thought to myself, I've never seen a brown cat. It is true though, he is brown, or sometimes greyish. His unique coloring and personality is what makes him our beloved Wilson.

I just wanted to say that after choosing from a list of 50 possible names we had come up with for him, we picked Wilson because of the "wilson" volleyball in the movie "Cast Away". In the movie, that volleyball was all the character Chuck, (played by Tom Hanks) had as his friend. When Wilson came home, we thought he was saving us in the same way that the ball had saved "Chuck" in the movie, so he was aptly named Wilson.
Of course, he now has quite a few nicknames such as, Wildo ( weirdo + wilson), Wildorama, Lemur Legs ( he's about 35 inches long when he is stretched out), Wilson Weasle, Sable ( that is the best word to describe his color), and the simple name of Fuzzy Head ( he is a real soft and fuzzy baby). I'm sure he'll have more coming. Our Cosmo had many, many nicknames.
I do believe my Cosmo sent me to him because he knew it was the right time for me, and he knew Wilson would be loved. That makes me feel so much peace when I think about it, and Mo will always be loved and missed in his own special way. I know there are many guides waiting for me when it is my time, and I look forward to the day I will "see" them all again, now Wilson will be there with us too. It amazes me that Wilson has some of the same personality traits as Cosmo and Creep, and they both passed before he was born. Now that Beaner has recently passed on Father's Day, he has taken on some of those traits too. The neatest thing to me is that my Mo was SOOOO defiant ( in a cute and sweet way), and Wilson has that same defiance, I know Mo gave it to him, it was one of the things about Mo that I loved the most. He wasn't always cooperative, but it was fun challenging his spirit, now I have to challenge that same spirit in Wilson. Such a simple memory, and a simple characteristic, but it makes them special.
