Yep, it's from Hallmark.

They are gone from our sight...
but never our memory.

gone from our hearing...
but never our hearts.

gone from our touch...
but their presence is felt,

and the love that they gave us
never departs.

Just after I got over my last crying spell 30 minutes ago, I opened my mail. Waterworks again...
Sidney's Buddy
I bonded with my little buddy really quickly. By 6 months of age we were inseperable. I used to drive my wife absolutely crazy by telling him all of the time "Sidney, my love, I am going to miss you so much when you are gone". I told him this regularly for about a decade. She thought it was really morbid. I was trying to ease the pain of what I knew was inevitable, his loss. I'm not sure if it worked or not, this has still been a nightmare, but I wonder if it would have been worse.

It was a pre-emptive strike on grief. Reading the card brought these memories back to me because I loved him so much that I felt his loss and the despair of life without him when he was several years old and has a clean slate for a future.

Now I'm glad I told him that so many times.

Yes, as some said there's so much in life but the pain is so great that I just want to be with my baby.

Daisy's Mommy
I received cards from Daisy's vet and two friends. It made me feel good that someone thought to write. So many people don't understand what a loss this is.
