Dixie's Mom

Dixie,
I will never, ever get over losing you.
What happened to you is so unfair.
The sweetest, most gentle and shy girl taken from me in such a brutal and painful way.
Why?
I sometimes still can't believe it happened.
I can't believe that the "lady" who hit you didn't stop to help you, but simply drove away.
You, as a dog, had 10 times the character of most people I know.
I love you, Dee Dee.

It really is so hard to even begin to understand some people out there. DO they have feelings, CAN they just forget so easily.
What goes on in their mind that they are so different to us, to have no compasion, no soul.

Dear Dixies Mom,
This photo of Dixie shows the sweetest and dearest soul in the world ~ what an angel to have spent time with ~ I am so sorry for your loss ~ this dear one will always be with you to watch over you and bring you the same love always ~ and in time you will find the way to be close again as the spiritual realm becomes more familiar in how you relate to one another as the days pass one to the other ~ I am forever grateful for the animals that grace us with their unconditional love and hope in all things that are good in this world ~
I am so sorry for your loss....Blessings and Peace ~ Kathryn

It's hard for me to understand monsters like that awful woman who hit Dixie. And the worst part is that neither Dixie or you can ever get any kind of closure or satisfaction for something like this. I know God has a plan for all of us, but it's hard to comprehend when a situation like this happens. It's hard to see how anything good can come out of this. I know this is cold comfort, but this woman(I refuse to call her a lady) will get what's coming to her, but that won't lessen your pain, or bring Daisy back. That woman's a soulless, cowardly pathetic attempt of a human being, and personally I wish her all the worst life has to offer, and all the bad Karma God can send her. She took away an irreplacable part of your life, and then was too much of a coward to do anything but run. That's just plain unforgiveable. People like that don't deserve to be called human. She's a murderer plain and simple. What she can't take away was the wondefrul memories of the years you and Daisy spent together, but even though Daisy's not here physically, she's here in every other part of your life. She loves you still, and that's something that b!@#h who hit her can't take away. You and Daisy were meant for each other, and no-one can take that away. I believe in an afterlife, in fact, that thought was about the only consolation I had whenever I lost any of my four-legged friends. And I believe you and Daisy will be reunited. And I know she's with you in this tough period. She loves you, and knows you loved her as well. This is going to be a horrible time for you. But you're not alone. We're ALL here for you. 24/7. God bless you.

I am sorry for your loss. That woman is an example of why I am starting to like animals far more than people. Dixie looks like such a sweet girl, and she deserved better than the way that woman treated her. She knew she was loved and that she had a great life with you. Please take some solace in that.

Hi, I feel for you. Many years ago, I had a cat killed by a car and the driver did not stop then either, but I do not know, in my case, if the driver knew that he or she hit an animal. But it was a shocking unexpected grief, my cat's loss of her life. I am grieving now for my elderly cat who passed away early this morning. This is a very good talk site for us animal lovers. Also, most persons drive cars too fast. Everyone really needs to drive much slower. Your friend, Maureen

I agree that it is so hard to try to understand people....those who don't have a heart. I am so sorry for your loss. Dixie looks precious.

Yesterday, I ran out in the road to save a kitty from being hit in the road, and got the one finger salute and a horn blown, and, I don't care. People can be so heartless. (sorry--it makes me very angry

)
I hope that you can find some peace and comfort at this time. We all are here for you.
Take care, you are in my prayers,
Sandi

Hi Dixie's mom. I understand how you feel. I lost Sammi 12 days ago when a car hit her. To lose someone we love so fast is devastating. She was in the prime of her life.
The only thing that makes me feel a little better is that she didn't know what happened. All she knows now is that she is waiting for me on the other side to come play with her.
I'm so sorry about Dixie
