To all my lost and much loved furbabies, today on this special day when family gathers around, I miss you all so much. Nymph and Spicey you two especially because it is my first Christmas in 16 & 18 years without you. I miss you terribly but I am very grateful that you were both still with me last CHristmas, despite the vet having given Spicey a maximum of 6 months the June before. It had been a wonderful Christmas and you both enjoyed your catnip toys so much.
I've had a candle burning all day today to honour you and to send out my message of love...you are missed more than words can say.
This CHristmas was wonderful also and you both were in my thoughts all day.

Thank you for your lovely post. I'm grieving the loss of my 'best friend' Toty the hamster, and it's so comforting to read all the special words of love that everybody has on this site, for their precious ones.

I’m still going thru all the tears and pain of losing my wee boy, but I’m feeling more and more convinced that, when we have such deep bonds of love with our animals, this bond is forever and will transcend time and space and carry on until eternity. When we are ready, I really believe that our love, which is stronger than the death of our physical bodies; is so powerful that it will finally draw us together again. I think we all have an incredible and glorious reunion to look forward to!

I pray that whenever you feel the stabbing pain of all your losses, you'll be able to gain strength and comfort as you think about and treasure all the beautiful memories you have, of the precious times spent with your kitties.

Dear Toty's mom, What a little sweetie you had - such a cute picture. I agree with you they are never completely gone because the love doesn't die - it is there as strong as ever. I still miss their physical presence in my life but I feel their spiritual presence close to me sometimes. I always send little messages of love out to them...until we meet again.

I wish our pets lifespan could at least equal ours...I swear I bond more closely to my pets than I do to most humans.
