On the 7th and 8th of this March we suffered the loss of three of our beloved furbabies. Fella the Russian Blue cat, O'Ryan our beloved Pomeranian, and the kitten Dixie.
This morning I went to the corner of our property where their sad mounds are located near a pink dogwood tree. I planted another dogwood tree, a red on beside the still fresh earth. The other tree was planted long ago to honor some long gone but still loved and remembered furbabies. The new tree is in rememberance of the three who went away all at once. A living tribute has been placed to honor your lives and to thank you for all you gave. You gave love and only wanted love in return. As I finished the labor of love I heard the call of a bird and turned to see a beautiful Cardinal in a nearby tree looking upon the scene. I think he was giving his approval.
I hope you like the tree. I couldn't think of any more fitting tree than the dogwood to honor the memory of our beloved furbabies. Sleep well little ones, we'll see you at the bridge some day very soon.
