On Tuesday I lost my best friend lucy, I had her when she was 5 weeks old and had her for 16 years, she was a ball of fluff I could put her in the palm of my hand, about 3 years ago I was feeling down but I knew my best friend would comfort me I would put her on my lap and she made me feel better, I miss her a lot I have not stopped thinking about her since she passed away, and to be honest I never will

No you probably never will stop thinking of her, nor should you. She was a wonderful part of your life that you should by all means remember.
Just know that it only hurts so much because you've loved so deeply.

So sorry about your loss of Lucy. You were very fortunate to have that love around you for 16 years. She sounds as if she were a special animal. What kind of dog was she? Take care and know you are being thought about.

Den,
I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Lucy. She sounds like a wonderful friend! I lost my kitty, Winnie, at age 17 six weeks ago. It helps in some ways to know that she had a long life filled with love, but it still feels like she passed too young! It's never easy to say goodbye.
But, I do believe that "goodbye" is only temporary, and that you will see your Lucy again. And, until that time, you probably will never forget her. But, that will become a more pleasant thought as you move along through your grief. Right now, the memories are likely more painful, but the bond of love you share will never be broken, and as you adjust to life without her with you physically, the memories will be more comforting.
Just know that she's with you in spirit, loving you and watching over you, and grateful for the life filled with love that you gave her!

Hi Lucy was a Yorkshire Terrier black and tan in colour, I have scaned a picture of her and put it on my computer as a back ground,so every time I switch on she will be there with me

What a wonderful picture of your little Lucy. She truly is the most beautiful little
girl ...
no wonder you loved her so very much.
I am so sorry for your sad loss ... I know how empty it can feel when we lose a companion
of so very many years. Please take some consolation in knowing that you gave her such
a very good and happy life you and you gave her so much love and attention. You made
all her days happy ones .... you gave her the gift of having a happy and fulfilled life with you.
And now the time has come for you to be parted .... I know how hard it is and how
you must miss her and her sweet and lovable ways and friendship and companionship .....
I am sure your sweet girl waits for you at Rainbow Bridge and that one day you will hold
her in your arms once again.
I'm thinking of you at this very sad time ...
with love
jilly
