My cat Truffles died last week. My husband and I pulled into our garage and to our horror found her lying motionless on her rug. She had a massive stroke, bleeding from her nose. She had suffered 2 strokes in the last 7 weeks, but had pretty much recovered. She was on medication from the vet, who told us she could live anywhere from a few days to a few years. But it was still such a shock to see her lifeless. I hoped she would live many more years, but I am glad she did not linger in pain. She was a 13 1/2 year old Maine Coon Mix who loved people. In here last few years she became a "pillow cat". She loved nothing more than to lie on her pillow and purr contently while I brushed her. She had a fondness for shredded white Mexican cheese. She could always tell when we had gone out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant. She would come up to me and meow, waiting for a bite of cheese from my leftovers. We went to the restaurant since her death and it was hard for me to eat knowing she was not at home to get her treat. Truffles was the perfect companion, so full of unconditional devotion and love. She is greatly missed. Good Bye my sweet cat.

So sorry about your loss of Truffles. She sounds like she was a great companion and true buddy to your all. The sadness you are feeling is great indeed, and I offer my support and good thoughts.
