I'm putting together a scrapbook of my beautiful Jack. This scrapbook is going to be a lot of pictures, but it's also going to be full of written memories. Things I dont want to forget in 20 years.

Patti's post reminded me of something. When Jack was about 3 years old my husband and I would stand at the front door and have Jack get the newspaper...we'd say "Go get it". He'd get so excited, he'd go sliding down the driveway. Sometimes he'd get it and bring it back and sometimes he'd get it and then get too distracted and want to play outside, LOL! Lil' stinker. I had completely forgotten about this and the other morning I was looking out our bedroom window and saw the paper at the driveway. This memory came rushing back and I couldnt stop laughing.

He used to chew my hair, he wouldnt walk on tile, he loved zucchini, he was a lab but hated water, he used to whistle when he ran really fast....

These are things that with time, could be forgotten and I want to remember everything about him. I wanted to share this with you all, I thought maybe it's something you'd like to do.

I keep a running list of memories of Hobbie and Shiloh. Whenever I remember something I write it down in their memory list. What's helped me a lot is going back and reading through the various memories when I'm feeling down. I always end up with a smile.

A lab that hated water. biggrin.gif How adorable!

What a wonderful idea. My Pumpkin passed away yesterday. Our teenage son got out all of his pictures and asked if I would put together a scrapbook. When the pain isn't so raw, I will do this.
Love,
Helena
