It's been 4 days since we put my boy MacGyver to sleep after 17 wonderful years. I was having a real rough day since my husband is an over the road driver, he had to leave me on Sunday to go to work. Monday was almost unbearable without both him and my Macster (cat). My dog, Shannon, who is 15 and Ashley our 1 year old kitten were seemingly trying to cheer me up but to no avail. I was sitting in my rocking chair when all of a sudden, a breeze came in the window behind my head. My cat Mac, was torn away from me by a form of oral cancer and his breath was really an odd sickly odor-very unlike anything I had smelled before. Well, as I was sitting there in tears, on that breeze was that same smell-only for an instant but that smell all the same. At that moment, I knew Macs' spirit was surrounding me and since then I have been OK without him. I guess you have to look at remembering the good times instead of focusing on the end. Mac was my baby but when it got to the point that he couldn't eat anymore-I couldn't let him go on like that. I went thru the house and cleaned anything that reminded me of Macs' cancer-the syringes, special foods, medicines, I don't want to remember him those last 3 weeks when he started getting really bad. I am just glad he is still around watching over us.

Hi,

Mac is a very pretty baby! He kind of looks like my Putty. Isn't it wonderful when we receive signs that are loved ones are okay? They bring so much comfort to our aching hearts. My heart goes out to you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Tina, What a beautiful boy McGuyver is! He contacted you in a way that he knew you would understand. We have to open our minds and be more sensitive to these type of visits and messages. Either we miss them or we don't believe them because it's not considered "normal." I'm so sorry for your loss but happy that he has come back to check on you. He knew you were feeling lonely. My thoughts are with you.

MacGyver is beautiful. This is strange but when your post popped up here we were just finishing watching a MacGyver episode on DVD. Maybe he is saying hello again. All the best to you and yours.
