My best friend Alicia, e-mailed this to me, the day after Ernestine's passing, and I wanted to share.......
(alicia's a special education teacher).
One day, a teacher asked her students if they would write down the "Seven Wonders of the World". Papers & pens passed out, the children started to write.
Most of the kids came up with the correct answers; but one little girl seemed to be stuck and was having some problems.
She seemed kind of frustrated with herself, so the teacher went over & said, "Can I help you at all??""
The litte girl replied, "Gee, there seems to be so many, I just can't make up my mind".
The teacher said, "why don't you share what you have.....maybe we can help you"...
The litte girl hesitated, then read, "I think that the Seven Wonders of the World, are":....
1. To see
2. To hear
3. To touch
4. To taste
5. To feel
6. To laugh
7. And, to love.....
The room was so quiet, you could hear a pin drop......
A gentle reminder,
"The most precious things in life cannot be built by hand, or bought by man."
Each day comes bearing its own gifts................... Untie the ribbons........
Be happy & keep hope alive.
From, my friend Alicia... but, shared to all of you, by Denise (Muffins).....
Ernestine.... April, 1984 - February 7th, 2004. May my little girl be jumping, running, eating & having lots of fun.
