my cat was killed by the neighbor's dog. it came across the street and attacked my cat who was sitting in front of the gate. my cat ran under the car and the dog literally pulled my cat out by the head and viciously shaked my cat and killed her. my cat was 12 yrs old and i miss her so much. the people was here too and one of the ladies tried to get the dog off but the owner of the dog just stood there. they haven't even apologized or nothing.

now they have to build a kennel with a cement bottom and a top , they have to have dangerous dog sign carry insurance of 2 thousand dollars and that is all they have to do. i feel that dog should be destroyed. this is outrageoous and sooo sad. plus a week after my cat got killed we had to have our ##er dog put to sleep due to old age. now i am so hurt and can't get over the losses so fast .

Marita I am so sorry for your loss. It is especially painful when the loss is so sudden and in such a violent manner.

Keep talking to us, let us know how you are doing, and we'll talk you through the worst of the pain. I understand your heart is hurting - we will do our best to make you feel a bit better.

What was your cat's name? Tell us about her...

I am so sorry you had to witness such a vicious attack on your baby. I wish there were more strict laws on peoples responsibility for their animals. If he would have killed a human baby, it would be all over the news and the dog would be destroyed, which to me is a possiblity if the dog has that kind of aggressive personality.
These are the kinds of things that keep me from ever letting my cat outside. He is 5 years old and the only time he has ever been out is to the vet! There are just too many dangers out there! If they never go out, they don't know what they are missing. { My husband actually thinks it's funny when our cat is being nosey and sniffing at the door that goes into the garage(if left open for a moment while we go out to get something) to give him a push and shut the door...he will bang on the door so hard it sounds like someone is knocking to get in! Then he comes in all "puffy tailed" and my husband laughs histerically. Although I don't approve of this, believe it or not, that cat loves his daddy. He actually wants nothing to do with me, even though I feed him and take care of him. Cats are strange tongue.gif !}
I'm sorry you have to live near these people. It will be so difficult to heal when you have to look at them all the time.
Your kitty was 12 years old, a testiment to your love and care for her, and I'm sure that she is proud of the job you did to care for her. She is not only healed and healthy now, but young and vibrant..free of pain. She plays with other dogs now, as there is no fear of aggresion or otherwise where she is.
love,
Kim

Dear Marita

I am so very sorry. We lost our young cat recently -- he just disappeared, and one of the things I fear is that he was killed by dogs. Unfortunately, just as a cat will attack a bird, many dogs will kill cats. It's the owners who are to blame for letting the dog loose so he could come into your yard. It must be hard to live near them but at least the dog will be restrained so this won't happen again.

All I can do is pray that you will be comforted by good memories of your pet.

Marita- I am so sorry for your losses. That is a truly horrible thing that happened to your precious cat. I am sorry that she had to leave the earth in that way, in such a vicious manner. KNow that she is no longer in any pain, and thatshe is in a safe and wonderful place. I know you must miss her terribly. That is unforgivable that the owner of the dog did nothing. That is below the depths of humanity as far as I am concerned. Have you reported it to the police? Maybe that is why he has to take insurance out and build a kennel. You may want to see whther there are any other actions you might take against this person legally. Absolutely inexcusable.

I am sorry also for the loss of your ##er spaniel. You have been dealt a double blow, and I am sure it is almost too much to bear. Just know that your pets are together and in a safe place where they will no longer suffer.

I am truly so sorry for your losses. I wish I could say something that would make you feel better, but just know that there are people here that will listen if you need to talk or want a place to remember your babies...

Caroline
