I wish I knew how to help you. I wish I had some kind of answer.
I remember when my "childhood/teens dog" became terminal with bone cancer my mother made the final descision. I was around 20 years old when it happened. What prompted her to do it was that the cancer had spread to his brain and he was becoming very aggressive. He was also in constant agony. The vet said his hind leg could snap at any time.
My Luba died without me having to make the decision, so I have not had to face this yet. I will probably have to go through this with Falkor.
What is happening with your sweetheart today? Has she taken a turn for the worse?

My heart is breaking for you I know how hard it is to make the call. You have war with yourself as to do they still have quailty of life left, are they suffering and you are just keeping them alive for yourself. I fought with myself so many times when Snookie started getting sick. Her eyes told me she could no longer hang on but then she left on her own. Please let us know what is happening.
