Franki is just precious! I LOVE Abbys. Your names are really cute!
When I have more time, I'll make a special thread and share with everyone the names of our cats.
I joke that I'd love to be able to name cats after fish..Bass, Trout (my last name!), Mackerel, and then also have a group known as the "Veggie Kids" My dearly departed "Gus's" offical name was...you've guessed it--Asparagus! Oh, what a great cat he was! As names continue to "morph" into all sorts of cutsey words with our beloved babies, he also answered to Gustav. At one time he weighed 17 pounds and it was all muscle! Oh, the wonderful memories I have of him! I'd love to have a cat called Rudabagus! Kale, Celery, and Tomato are rather cute, too! In fact, for any of you that might know about Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, you'll remember that in their bi-monthly magazine, they have the cutest column written by one of their deceased cats, Tomato. Yes, he's still writing the column even though he's not there with them physically! His picture adorns the page and it always makes you laugh because he always has something funny to relate.
One of our newest additions (oh! what a story that is!) is named Rudy Toot Toot. He's a red tabby. The neighbor kids came knocking on our door one morning as I was about to dash off for work. With a then current population of 28 cats, having two sad little girls holding a dirty, feisty little kitten with the most enormous eyes I've ever seen, was not what I expected to deal with but....their sad story fell on the right ears and when I handed him to my roommate she sighed and said, "Okay, we'll take him and get his shots, neutered, etc. and try to find a home for him". Yeah, right! If there is one cardinale rule in the Cook-Trout household, it is that: "Whenceforth a feline should cross the threshold of thy doorway, that said feline shall not therefore depart again!
We're "rescuers" who have never quite grasped the very helpful concept of not keeping all you find!
Anyway, Rudy is sensational! If ever there is was a cat that would be an absolute natural for TV commercials, it's Rudy! If I can ever figure out how to post pics, I'll send one along. He is truly adorable.
Please keep the pics coming!
