Here's a picture of our girl Norah. She is a 2-yr.-old rat terrier. I highly recommend this breed for anyone. I've heard good things all around about them. They are very calm and friendly towards people. Norah will always go straight to the person in the room she's never met before and sit in their lap. She's happy either indoors or out. She's had some trouble getting along with bigger dogs in the neighborhood, but she's getting better. I've never seen her around children so I'm not sure how she'd be. But she really has an endearing and wonderful personality. I believe rat terriers will adapt to any person's lifestyle -young or old, active or inactive. She's also very easy to bathe and doesn't require much grooming. Just a plug for any of you out there looking for a new friend!

Dear Jenny, Oh Norah is just so precious and I am glad you posted her picture for us. I thought about getting a rat terrier but our vet said our parrot would not be safe around one. I have heard many wonderful things other than that about them. So I guess I am out of luck for a rat terrier.

I was never to sure about Snookie, she would stare at him and lick her chops. She was always the first to run towards him when he was in the floor. Still she never touched him so I breathed a sigh of relief for that. Chili Bean loved him and he rode on her back. Chihuahua's and poodles are good with birds.

Thank you all. She is just the sweetest. Last night we put Lucy in her crate for sleep time and Norah jumped on the bed with us. But Lucy was restless and wouldn't settle down because she saw Norah up on the bed with us. She wanted to come up too. So Norah got down and went to her own crate next to Lucy's and laid down. Lucy got quiet and Norah slept there until Lucy fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning Norah was sleeping next to me. She must have tiptoed past Lucy and snuck up on the bed.

I thought this was really sweet and mothering of Norah to do. They are becoming fast friends.

Love,
Jenny

I am SO touched by that story! wub.gif
How thoughtful of Nora to sleep in her crate until Lucy fell asleep. I just LOVE these touching stories that keep confirming how VERY special and important God's creatures are!!! There are times that Brandy will start licking inside Danny's ears. It's like she is cleaning them for him smile.gif

Dear Jenny, Such a precious picture and how wonderful that they are becoming friend and that Norah is mothering Lucy. That is always so sweet when they take care of each other. Even though Gypsy was almost 7 years younger than Snookie she always watched over Snookie. There is nothing like watching the love between our babies. I am so happy you are surrounded by love.
