WE RESCUED KARMILLADOG 4 YEARS AGO. KARMILLA STARTED TO SHOW SIGNS OF BEING ILL. WE WENT TO THE VET TO ONLY RETURN HOME WITH BAD NEWS. ON 3/25/05, I HEARD THE CRIES AND SAW IN HER EYES. THAT WAS THE DAY I MADE THE HARDEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. WE FEEL SO ALONE, AND HER SMELL STILL LINGERS IN OUR HOME. I STILL LISTEN FOR THE SOUND OF HER FEET TO CROSS THE FLOOR. SHE WOULD ALWAYS SAY "HI" IN HER OWN LITTLE WAY.
ANY ADVISE OR ENCOURAGEMENT WOULD BE OF HELP. THIS IS OUR FIRST LOSS OF A LOVED ONE.

I understand you pain. I lost my first dog Rosa on the same day you did. I had to put her to sleep at 10:30 A.M. I have cried ever since. Sometimes the pain in unbearable. I am so sorry for your loss. I have been coming her and posting daily since. It seems to help and everyone is so kind. I'll look for you in the future and look forward to emialing you again. I am so sorry for the loss of your dog Karmilla. It is hard to smell your pet's scent around the house, but it is also a comforting reminder of them that you don't want to lose just yet. That is wonderful that you were aqble to rescue her and give her such a great 4 years. That probably meant the world to her...

Hi Andi and Maylonie, I am so sorry for the loss of your Karmilla. What a precious name she had that is really so cute. The loss of them from our lives hurts so much even though we did what was best for our babies. Let the tears flow freely as the will help in your healing and pain. Come and talk often about your precious girl.

I am so sorry about your loss of Karmilla. I know these first days are really hard. I wish there was something I could do to make us all feel better. But you will feel better in time. I am coming up on two months and I still miss my baby. I know how I felt for the first week so I truly sympathize. You should feel good that you were able to give her four quality years after you rescued her. I know it was not enough, but I am sure the time she had with you made her very happy.

I am so sorry for your loss - thank you for coming here and sharing it helps me to know I am not alone ~ My tabby cat Amber died on Monday - she was with me for 20 years ~ I miss her so much and need to learn to carry on and be the same person that she loved ~ for that is how she thrived ~ the love is where we need to return to and we will heal ~ Peace and Comfort to You ~ Kathryn, Angel Amber and C.C.
