Cheri,

I don't know if you saw my last reply to my post about Allie, but I wanted to thank you for your comments about noticing the love in Allie's eyes! When she looked at you that way you truly knew how much she loved you. And you are so right, it's not the years of your life, but the life in your years. Quality is really what's important.

Your Rachael was quite a looker herself! So cute and happy! I'm so sorry you lost her. It's so amazing to think, collectively, how much joy the animals of this world bring to all of us. There are so many special ones out there...in fact, all are special...and that makes me look forward to providing a home for another in the future.

Thanks again,
Jenny

Hello Jenny!

Awwwww, no thanks are needed!!! I responded to her eyes because that was what struck me immediately when I looked at her pictures. The prettiest round eyes that just looked so soft and gentle...full of love! We can easily see all the love she felt for you, and STILL does!!! I just know her precious little spirit is watching over you all.

Thank you for your comments about my darling Rachael too! wub.gif
I appreciate that you see how happy she was. Honestly, that little girl wagged her tail non-stop! She would just be walking around the yard and her little tail was wagging. I am so glad that I was able to get a few short video clips of her. In every clip, she is wagging her tail. She even wagged her tail on her last day with me, before I took her to the vet to end her suffering. That was what made the decision SO much harder for me!

I'm glad to hear that you will continue to open your home to more furbabies! With your special capacity to love, it would be a shame to stop giving.

Thank you!!!!

Cheri,

I can just picture Rachael wagging her tail non-stop in the yard! Isn't it great when they are so happy? I can certainly understand why being a pet owner has health benefits, because laughter and happiness really are the best medicines. I'm so glad you have video of Rachael to preserve her memory forever. I wish I had video of Allie. I should definitely start taking video of Norah right away!

By the way, I looked at the adorable pictures of Rachael on your memorial web site, and she was born on my 13th birthday! And I absolutely love the portrait and poem that your brother made for you. What a wonderful way to honor the memory of such a special girl.

Thank you!
Jenny
