Scooter is such a cute fellow! I know you must miss him terribly. I'm glad that you're starting to warm up to Whiskers. She sounds very sweet, too. I hope that she will be able to ease some of your pain over missing Scooter...she'll never replace Scooter, but perhaps she can become a good little buddy to you.

Yes, Scooter is very handsome..................A friend of mine has a cat with only one eye - "Winkie" and he's handsome, too! You and Whiskers WILL be ok.

Scooter looks like such a sweetheart. I know how much you miss him. I miss my little guy more than words can express. Whiskers is going to help you through the hard times, and you will become more bonded to her as time goes on. Cats are very magical, and have a way into our souls.

Just give your furbaby Whiskers all the love & attention even though you may not feel in in your heart right now. When we grieve our emotions are shattered & it's difficult to go back to the person that we once knew. I've been going through the same emotions & did not have it in me when dealing with my new furbaby Cocoa. Then I thought to myself that there will come a day when Cocoa will join Duchess in Rainbow Bridge. I do not want to let these very precious moments pass us by. Life is so very unpredictable & so very precious & goes by so quickly. We will always remember & love & CARRY OUR BABIES IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER but the furbabies that are here with us today need us so very much. Our grief will lessen in time but the best way to get through it is to shower your furbaby with all the love in your heart & in time it will heal your heart. Your memories will be what is left from your time together -- make it the best you can -- for it will warm your heart when the grief has subsided. My memories of Duchess are really -- really good ones especially the last 2 years of her life.
My love for her had grown so very much and now it's what keeps me going because it is all I have left to hold on to.

Oh Scooter is so precious and even with one eye he is still handsome. Maybe that made him even more precious! You will miss him for a long time but will always carry him in your heart. I am glad you are giving Whiskers more attention now. I was guilty of the same thing with my remaining babies but I have changed that and am back on track now. I guess sometimes it takes some time not to feel like we are betraying our lost babies. But those we still have deserve love and attention too.
