I hd to put my most beloved kitty Xian to sleep today... He was suffering with kidney failure, having difficulty swallowing, and went from 9 to 6 pounds in about a month. I was relieved that it was so quick (the doctor didn't even finish the shot before he was gone)... I've spent the day crying and sleeping.....The creamatorium lady was so nice, she phrased it "I can bring Xian home in about 2 weeks". Cried some more..... and some more.....

Xian is at peace now, and with you in spirit. It is so hard to let them go. My heart goes out to you stitch... Xian was very beautiful.

I am very sorry for your loss, My Sallie passed just last week. I know what you're going through. this site has helped me tremendously I hope that it helps you too. Xian was a beautiful cat. I had to come to the same decision about Sallie, I have no regrets, but I know it doesn't make the loss any easier. take care of yourself.

Hi Stitch, Your Xian was a beautiful boy and I am so sorry for your loss. Let those tears fall when they come. I am sorry you are going through this pain we all know so well. I am sure you did what you could for your little boy.

Oh I am so sorry. I was struck by how much Xian looks like my bestest kitty...the Bat Cat. I feel your pain, but know that you did a very brave and unselfish thing. You loved that kitty so much you were willing to take on the pain. In time, you will start to smile more and laugh about the times you shared. I am glad it was peaceful. Martina

kidney failure is so wicked. that's how i lost my kitty. i know so many people with pets that have pulled through kidney disease. i was sure that my kitty would do the same. then the time came when she lost 8 pounds (from 12 to 4) and couldn't walk - it hit me in the face. i was so mad - why did everyone elses' kidney diseased pets survive but mine? i have now accepted it and am glad that she is no longer in such pain. she gave me 14 beautiful years that i will cherish for the rest of my life.
so sorry to hear of your loss. xian is a beautiful baby, with his tongue sticking out - how cute! i'm glad that he went peacefully. be strong, ah

His tongue would stick out when we scritched his ears, when he passed, his tongue was out, he was purring until the end.... I miss my baby kitty....
