I just had a portrait painted by a lovely man from NY of my dog, who passed one month ago yesterday. I found the whole process to be very therapeutic for me in terms of helping me to adjust to the loss of my beloved and in finding a way to memorialize him justly for the years of joy he brought to myself and my handicapped son.
