I do not wish to share this post.

I absolutely love this picture of your precious Abby she was such a beautiful doll. I can see why you would have laughed yourself silly when she began to paddle. Oh no wonder we miss our babies so very much.

Oh, I agree! What a DARLING picture of Abby!!!! wub.gif
Took right to the water smile.gif
I know how hard this has been for you. Seeing this picture reminds me of my Rachael. She was our water baby and just LOVED going out on our boat and taking swims in the water. When summer comes back again, it will just not be the same.

We just have to keep taking a day at a time.

Hugs,
Cheri

That's such an adorable picture of Abby! Thank God for film and digital camaras. I find so much comfort looking at my pictures of Shiloh...I just wish I had more. Something I've been doing lately is making a list of all my favorite memories of Shiloh. All the memories that make me smile. When I find myself really missing her, I read through some of the memories and often I'll feel better.

Take care,
Kathleen

The picture of your darling Abby is so beautiful ... her dear cute little face. I'm sure she's smiling! How wonderful to look at her photo and remember her enjoying herself and having such fun. You gave her a wonderful fun filled life.

I wholeheartedly agree that a memorial book can help so very much. It gives me something to do when my mind won't concentrate on anything but my little Ellie.
I too, Kathleen, write down all the memories I have of Ellie as they come to mind. It's amazing how many different ones there are that I had completely forgotten about until something jogged my memory.

I wrote a new memory down today. I was tidying out the airing cupboard tonight and suddenly became aware of some padding that I had put round the hot pipes on the inside of the cupboard.. Suddenly the memory flooded back of how when she was a kitten she would love to go in the airing cupboard and nestle in among all the clothes and I had been frightened she would burn herself on the pipes, hence the padding.

It made me smile because I could picture her standing on the top of the bannisters and meouxing piteously at me to open the airing cupboard door so that she could make the perilous leap across the width of the landing and into the cupboard, where she would completely disappear under all the linen.

Thank goodness we have our happy memories and our pictures.

With love
jilly.

Moose just could not swim for the longest time, he would try and swim vertical, this is shortly after we moved near water, he loved the water...people used to have a good laugh at him, he would throw a tanturm when it was time to leave,,,barking at me and running back to the water. In his later years he got the swimming thing down, but perferred to gallop in the shallow waters of Birch Bay. one time I walked down to the bay to watch the sunset I sat on the sand and moose sat next to me in silience and watching the sun go down...like two best friends sharing a moment, no words, just unspoken love everywhere.

Abby's Mommy - What a precious picture of your sweet Abby "swimming". wub.gif and Pamela, that's a great pic of Moose in the ocean. Also, what a comforting memory of you and Moose, sharing the sunset together. Wonderful keepsakes, those pictures and I love the idea of the memory book. As you all have said, thank goodness for our memories.
