Today I lost the little white bird on the right. A cat broke into the aviary and her feathers are all over the lawn, she was such a nervous little one, flapping about every time I went in there you could see her eyes almost bulging looking at you with complete fear that you might touch her.

She loved to sit between the two ring necked doves I'm sure she felt safe there and I wonder where she was sleeping last night.

I've fixed the aviary as best I can, I waited hours for the rain to stop and gave up in the end and did what I could with it pouring with rain.

Its been four days since I've had a cigarette, it’s a good job there were non in the house otherwise I would definitely have lapsed, there’s nothing like a good puff when your upset, I even considered one of Ians cigars.

Bye little one, I should have made the aviary safer for you, I'm so sorry, I hope you find a nice safe haven in heaven, away from humans and cats.

Love Sue

Hi Sue. I am so sorry about your "little one". What a beautiful bird. From the looks of the picture, your aviary looks wonderful and safe. I am sorry that a cat broke in, but please do not feel it is your fault. Congrats on not giving in to the desire to have a cigarette. You should be very proud of yourself. Hugs to you.

This week I saw the most wonderful sight there was this grey very furry cat eating something, which from the distance I was, looked like the crumbs of biscuits, and right next to her was a magpie eating from another pile.

Both seemed oblivious of the other, or were they just content to share?
